the famous Walther P99 was introduced into the Q-Branch armory after Bond had borrowed one from Wai Lin at the end of ‘Tomorrow Never Dies' and now is as firmly fixed to 007 as a vodka martini – shaken not stirred . As Bond is about to take on Elliot Carver you see the P99 for the first time fitted with a silencer….cool…. From there on the silenced P99 is used as his new trademark and appears in a number of posters, photos and promotional shots of our famous hero 007 James Bond.

It wasn't long before the famous Walther P99 was produced as a CO2 air pistol and collectors item in the form of the CP99 and again it wasn't long before it became a must for every Bond fan on the planet to own. I can remember the very first day i got my CP99, held it in my right hand and somehow the words just came out….

‘Bond…James Bond'

The CP99, together with many other pieces of Bond memorabilia, took pride of place in my glass cabinet, and from that day on I made it my mission to try and get a silencer for it.

After weeks of research, and a telephone bill that had

‘more 0's than a 00 agent'

I decided to make one and so Q-Branch was born….the rest as they say, is history….

The CP99 silencer adaptor was the first project that started 007 Q-Branch.com

Manufactured from aircraft spec, black anodised aluminium, it could be fitted to the CP99 in seconds without any modification to the air pistol, using a standard thread size. It then allowed me to fit a range of silencers from the air pistol market onto the end of the gun, SAK, Logan, Parker etc, reducing muscle crack by over 2/3rds, but most of all it gave James Bond fans exactly what they had been looking for.

We were the first company to ever fit a silencer to a CP99 air pistol and the CP99 silencer adaptor is still one of the best selling products we make, 4 years on….
